Job Description:
Plant Controller
Location: Southern Delaware
Salary: $80,000-$90,000
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s degree and ⁄ or CPA a plus.
5-10 years of experience in accounting (public and⁄or industry). Manufacturing accounting experience a plus.
Strong Cost systems background, good analytical skills, solid understanding of accounting principals
Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Microsoft office products
Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and to supervise others.
Responsibilities:
Work as a part of the site leadership team to drive results
Strong understanding of material and product costing
Responsible for period end closing
Ability to explain manufacturing variances & their drivers
Analyze actual performance versus budget & standards
Responsible for inventory control and reconciliation
Develop product standard costs during annual budget cycle
Analyze financial impact of capital projects including saving, payback & NPV
Ownership of budgeting plants fixed costs & variable costs
Communicate site performance to leadership team
Coordinate with R&D and production regarding commercialization of new items
Will supervise a general accounting resources (Accounts payable, payroll, etc.)
Ensure site is in compliance with corporate policies and procedures
Functionally reports to Corporate Controller with administrative line to Site Manager
