Job Description:
Staff Accountant
Salary - $45,000-$55,000
Summary: Responsible for the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation and maintenance of general ledger accounts, preparation of specified accounting records for the month end close and analysis in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Completes Balance Sheet Account reconciliations and analysis.
Provides Capital Plan⁄Fixed Asset Support.
Provides support with special projects and ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
Assist with month-end close, including preparation of financial statements and other analytical reports.
Prepares, posts and reconciles general ledger entries.
Analyzes monthly financial reports, prepares journal entries and postings to the general ledger.
Monitors and analyzes general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
Prepares various financial reports such as balance sheet accounts, expense analysis, daily⁄monthly cash balance reporting and monthly bank reconciliations.
Conducts all month-end postings and settlements to include assets and liabilities, expenses and revenue assuring accuracy and integrity.
Reviews financial statements, posting journals, to ensure accuracy, timeliness, completeness and non-overstatement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and⁄or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting⁄Finance or related discipline required in addition to 2-4 years of related work experience. CPA preferred.
