Chief Financial Officer
Salary - $100,000-$150,000
 
 
As a key member of the executive management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to and work closely with the President and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the Company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the Company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting and financial reporting, financing, forecasting, tax filing and compliance, legal, insurance and risk management, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, other financial analyses and the assets and books of the company.
 
Responsibilities and Duties
Directs and oversees all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the Company.
Provides leadership in the development and achievement of the short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
Manages the timely development of the annual budget of the Company, and monthly reporting of financial results compared to budget.
Takes responsibility for the books and systems of the Company, and makes sure they are accurate and efficient, and that effective internal controls are in place.
Manages associated accounting functions, including collection of accounts receivable, payment of accounts payable, and payroll.
Takes responsibility for the assets of the Company, ensuring the safekeeping and insurance thereof, and that they are appropriately valued on the books of the Company.
Manages the preparation of the Company’s year-end financial statements, for outside review and⁄or audit.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and rules for financial and tax reporting, and the preparation of the Company’s tax returns.
Analyzes the results of operations, and the potential financial impact of business opportunities, including acquisitions and major new product possibilities, and other matters as appropriate, and advises executive management as to directions and actions based on these analyses.
Seeks to find ways of controlling and limiting the Company’s costs, and enhancing its profitability.
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with senior executives, and particularly the President, in order to identify their needs and seek business solutions.

Education and Work Experience Required
10+ years in progressively responsible financial management roles
College degree in accounting, finance or business required

MBA and⁄or CPA highly valued (not required)
