Job Description:

Chief Financial Officer
Salary - $100,000-$150,000
 
Seeking a CFO for headquarters in Bethlehem, PA.

1. Manage the Accounting Operations
Oversee all accounting operations including:
Accounts Payable and Cash Disbursements o Billing and Receivables (customer credits and collections)
Cash Management
Purchase order management and controls
Inventory Management
Fixed Asset Management
Cost Accounting
Review performance with management and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Ensure appropriate internal control environment. Perform, review, and approve required internal control measures.
Prepare all regulatory and governmental information forms.
 
2. Financial Information
Prepare and issue all financial information including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Prepare reports for Senior Management including budgets, forecasts, and other ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Calculate and report on variance from the budget and report significant issues to management.
Monitor cash balances and prepare cash forecasts.
Maintain relationship with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Assist outside accountants in preparation of tax returns.
 
3. Performance Reporting
Develop benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
Work with the Senior Management Team in figuring out ways to optimize company results.
Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
Monitor debt levels and company compliance with debt covenants.
 
4. Accounting Team Leadership
Oversee and train accounting staff in their areas as well as supervise their transactions.
Oversee training programs to make sure proper cross-training exists within the accounting department's various clerical functions.
Delegate and supervise work assignments and establish expectations of the accounting staff.
 
5. Additional Accountabilities
Maintain a documented system of all accounting policies and procedures.
Provide backup and support on all contracts the company enters.
Serve as a member on the Executive Team, providing input on strategic direction and decisions about the operation.
Participate in decision-making that guides the direction of the organization.
Attend and participate in client meetings as scheduled or required.
Exemplify company values in all activities.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA Preferred.
MBA is a plus.
A proven track record (5-10 years) of managing the accounting function for a fast-paced growth oriented organization.
Experience accounting for multiple business entities and inter-company transactions.
Understand cost systems utilized in transportation and ⁄ or manufacturing industries.
5+ years supervisory experience.
Strong hands on experience with mid-tier accounting packages
