Job Description:
Senior Sales Tax Analyst – King of Prussia
Responsibilities
Provide support and oversight for the Vertex suite of sales tax products (Vertex O Series, Vertex Returns, Vertex ECM and Vertex TRA)
Provide daily support to decentralized subsidiary Vertex users⁄sales tax staff
Aid in converting subsidiaries to Vertex products; and provide system training
Assist in the development of internal tax policies, procedures and manuals and the training and development of internal personnel with respect to proper tax compliance policies and procedures
Provide sales and use tax research support, assist in providing technical guidance and support for sales and use tax audits
Qualifications
BA degree in accounting preferred
3-5 years of progressively responsible corporate sales and use tax experience
Hands on experience with the Vertex suite of sales tax products; direct experience with Vertex O Series preferred
Experience with SAP strongly preferred
Working knowledge of multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax statutes, regulations and requirements
Ability to effectively research state and local tax issues in a Web-based environment
Knowledge of Canadian tax requirements preferred but not required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel 30% – 40% of time during SAP⁄Vertex implementations, 5-10% thereafter
