Job Description:
Sales Tax Analyst – King of Prussia
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with sales and use tax research, and the development of internal tax policies, procedures and manuals
Assist in the implementation of SAP, Vertex O Series, and Vertex returns
Assist in the training and development of internal personnel with respect to proper tax compliance policies and procedures
Provide technical guidance and support for sales and use tax audits
Handle technical communications with external auditors and Department of Revenue personnel
Maintain use tax rates in the Oracle accounts payable system
Assist in supporting personal property tax compliance, including the filing of returns and the payment of bills
Assist in supporting accounting, escheat processes, payroll tax questions and issues, 1099 reporting, acquisition due diligence, and other special projects as needed
Qualifications
BA degree in accounting preferred
1 – 3 years of progressively responsible corporate tax experience, with a focus on sales and use taxes
Working knowledge of multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax statutes, regulations and requirements
Ability to effectively research state and local tax issues in a Web-based environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experience with SAP, Vertex O Series, Vertex Returns and Oracle financial systems a plus
Ability to travel 0 – 10% of time
